What exactly does MGP Infrastructure do?

We deliver infrastructure and facility services across six verticals — telecom infrastructure, civil construction, HT/LT electrical, solar, garden & landscape development, and facility management with contract labour. The point of the company is that all six sit under one contract with one accountable team, rather than across four or five vendors.

What is an IP1 licence and why does it matter?

IP1 is Infrastructure Provider Category-I, granted by the Department of Telecommunications. It permits a company to install, own, lease and maintain passive telecom infrastructure — towers, dark fibre, duct space and right of way. Without it a company cannot legally hold telecom passive infrastructure contracts, which is why it is the credential telecom operators check first.

How does a typical engagement start?

With an enquiry, then a site survey. We rarely quote from a phone call alone — an engineer visits, records site conditions and access, and photographs the starting state. The quotation follows from that, line by line against a written scope.

Do you charge for a site survey?

No. The survey visit and the quotation that follows are at our cost. It protects both sides: you get a number that is defensible, and we do not commit to work we have not seen.

How quickly can you mobilise?

Within our core operating districts, typically 48 to 72 hours from a signed work order. For distant districts allow three to five days for crew and equipment movement. Emergency response on sites already under contract with us is faster.

What is your minimum contract size?

There is no fixed minimum, but very small one-off jobs at distant locations often do not make sense for either party once mobilisation is costed. We will tell you plainly when that is the case rather than quoting a number designed to be declined.

How are variations and extra work handled?

Quoted and approved in writing before execution. We would rather lose a day waiting on an approval than deliver a surprise on the final bill.

Are your workers covered under PF and ESIC?

Yes, without exception. PF code MH PUPUN1719630000 and ESIC 33000613080001001 are active, and the monthly challans are handed over alongside the invoice.

What is principal-employer liability and why does it concern me?

Under the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, if a contractor fails to pay wages or deposit statutory dues, the liability falls back on the principal employer — the client. That is why we hand over the wage register and the PF and ESIC challans every month: so that your exposure is documented as closed rather than assumed to be.

Can you complete our vendor registration portal?

Yes. Tell us which portal or format you use and we will complete it. Most corporate onboarding takes us under two working days because the documents are already assembled.

Do you do background verification on deployed staff?

Accepted Answer

Address and background verification is completed before deployment, and the records are available to you on request. For defence, PSU and hospital deployments this is treated as mandatory rather than optional.

Can you work inside a running plant or occupied building?

Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. Work in live premises is planned in phases with permits, barricading, dust and noise control, and shift-based execution windows agreed with your plant or facility head.

What documentation do we get at handover?

It depends on the vertical, but always something auditable: torque records and earth resistance readings for telecom, cube tests and as-built levels for civil, insulation and relay test results for electrical, OTDR traces for fibre, and checklists and audit scores for facility work.

Do you sub-contract the work?

The core work is executed by our own crews with our own equipment. Where a specialist input is genuinely better bought in, we say so up front and remain the single point of accountability — you never end up managing our supplier.

What happens if something goes wrong after handover?

Defect liability is stated in the contract and honoured. In practice, most of our clients are on continuing maintenance contracts, which means the same team that built it is the team that maintains it.
